Psychotherapy Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Christopher Hope MA, UKCP registered Psychotherapist
Psychotherapist Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
I have worked with adults, children, young people and their families for over thirty years during periods of crisis and difficulty. I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist experienced in working with clients of different ages who may be experiencing high levels of stress for whatever reason.
I have provided Counselling and Psychotherapy to individuals helping them overcome many different problems in their lives. These include depression and anxiety, separation and loss, bereavement, childhood trauma, anxiety, and family and peer stress, including divorce and separation. My clients sometimes come to me for help to resolve work-related stress, relationship difficulties or simply help to live a more fulfilling life.
My approach towards individuals experiencing stress and unease in their lives is that they require time and patience to unravel what can be experienced as overwhelming. Sometimes greater fulfilment can be achieved by discovering more about who we are and being more tolerant and kinder to ourselves. Being person centred means that I approach all my clients as unique individuals. My role is to facilitate the exploration and resolution of problems experienced in a safe , confidential and non-judgemental way.
As a qualified UKCP registered clinical psychotherapist, with 30 year’s experience working with children, adults and families. I provide individual consultations, assessment and treatment for children, young people and their families. This includes children at pre-school, primary school and secondary school, or young people in the sixth form or in further education.
When you or your child are having a difficult time, for whatever reason, I can sometimes help you to find different approaches which can reduce the severity and duration of the problem and give you and your child valuable coping skills for the future.
When children are having a difficult time, for whatever reason, I can sometimes help you and your child understand and deal with problems when they appear insurmountable. This can reduce the severity and duration of the problem and give you and your child valuable coping skills for the future.
How I usually achieve this will be through individual therapy with either adults or children, work with children on their own, with parents and their families, or a blend that meets your particular needs.
